Proceso proceso proceso is part of the Shared Time project carried out for ten months in 2021-2022, a period in which the space on the third floor of the museum was inhabited by artistic and curatorial collectives that made the museum a place of creation in the broadest sense: energy mutating into form. In this fourth iteration of the project, we called on three individual artists to once again propose a shift in gaze: stop seeing only the artistic objects created to sustain attention on the set of actions that make them possible. The explorations and experimentations carried out in the studios and workplaces of each artist are usually inaccessible to the general public and with this, those who go to museums, galleries and exhibition spaces are distanced from the processes that occur to reach build an object that condenses the work as a sign.

Given that creative processes do not always seek a premeditated result, the path taken in daily work is significant, like the waste or works that it carries and originates. They help to understand, not only the works they produce but the methodologies and sets of ideas that support and concentrate them. Let’s think of “works as sums of transformations, as the result of a series of good poems, bad poems and regular poems that have to be written for a verse to emerge: sometimes a process cannot be settled, just as one cannot eliminate the distance between two points. Process process process tries to expand and make habitable that creative interstice that the hermetic and invisible appears, so that we participate in it.

With the participation of Fabiola Menchelli, Jerónimo Ruedi and Marek Wolfryd, the museum space will be in permanent mutation for seven weeks. The contrasts and oppositions between the objects-works and the processes-actions will become evident, the former will be distinguished by their immobility, their supposedly fixed material condition (this sculpture is finished, this painting varnished), the latter by their impermanence.
